Remember Franken/Coleman in Minnesota 2008

If Warnock and Ossoff win I can see that same scenario playing out and the Republicans dragging it out, especially how the Republicans have contested the presidential election. What sucks about this scenario is that Purdue wouldn’t be in the senate until the dispute is over as his term expires on January 3, BUT Lloefler would be in the seat and be able to conduct senate business until the dispute is resolved because she is filling Isakson’s term until the special election winner is declared.

This is the difference between Dems and Reps..Republicans will use every trick to stall while Democrats give up...I am thinking about Bill Nelson in Florida and how Rick Scott essentially declared himself the winner and showed up in Washington and then Nelson conceded....if Nelson was as petty as Republicans I think he could have delayed Rick Scott’s appointment by at least as long as Coleman did with Franken

since the election, and with the same results. But the delay will be a problem, and that's really what they want.
