CNN: COVID Relief Bill is being flown to FL for tRump's signature

So I guess they don't have a FAX machine at Mar-a-Loco, or is this tRump's idea of "air mail"?

As of yesterday, an "enrolled" copy of the bill hadn't been finalized by the clerk which is a predicate step to having the Speaker and presiding officer of the Senate sign the bill, which is a predicate to presenting it to the President. Even if the enrolled bill was finalized, signed, and presented to Trump today, the clock would start tomorrow (12/25). Not counting Sunday, the tenth day after presentment would be January 4.

His planes were leased. His brand went on them, but the cost of that paint job was normal operating costs (marketing & advertising) for the organization. Then, the lease cost is expensed, so no capital invested, fewer taxes paid (if any) & his own plane/billboard.
He was flying in a 737. He has never had the liquidity to buy his own hundred million dollar plane.
And, lenders that might give loans for business expansion, might be far more reluctant to lend for a luxury. Especially in the last 15 years, given the crushing debt load.
The US banks cut him off for a reason.

I hand carried my FMLA forms to two different doctor's offices - they refused to take them. They would only accept them by fax. We actually have a fax - and a land line. BUT we abandoned long distance on the land line a long time ago - and the doctor's offices are long distance.

In this day and age, limiting functional communication to fax only is not appropriate, since very few ordinary individuals are likely to have access to a fax machine - especially when your clients come from all over the world (the Cleveland Clinic).

His nonsense was absolutely killing the GOP chances for those senate seats, so he caved. Why? It wasn't because moscow mitch was mad at him. It was because, without a GOP senate, trump, through his proxy moscow mitch, can't continue his destruction of the country after he gets the hook.

The $900 billion stimulus package is on its way to President Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, multiple news outlets reported on Thursday.

*snip*

The massive 5,593-page bill, which includes the $1.4 trillion omnibus, is being flown on the plane to Florida, where Trump is staying at his Mar-a-Lago resort for Christmas.

I guess I didn't read the fact they are flying it down as a statement that he necessarily plans to sign it. Guess it's a logical extension.

A bill was flown to China so Reagan could sign it. And a bill was flown to Turkey so Clinton could sign it.
Obama got around the requirement by claiming that he could authorize an aide to use an autopen to sign a bill while Obama was out of the country. There is a division of opinion as to whether the Constitution allows that, but the issue hasn't been presented to the courts. (in the Obama situation, I believe that the bills that were signed using an autopen would have become law had they not been signed (i.e., it wasn't a pocket veto situation).
