Should we pursue Trump...

...after he leaves office for any criminal behavior and acts or should we look the other way and let bygones be bygones?

...I'm no lawyer but it seems to me that Trump has broken laws and has gotten friends and relatives to aid and abet him...

...now that the planned crimes have been committed Trump pardons his gang in a process which looks like some sort of obstruction of justice to me...

...the rule of law won't mean very much if presidents can systematically construct, plan and get away with crimes while in office without any consequence...if Trump has established a new accepted level of presidential criminal conduct then what will the next 'Trump' be like and where will that take us as a country?

...applying justice to this Trump seems like a huge litmus test and responsibility for us and for the new Biden administration...

...what do you think?

He deserves it. The only part I hate is more headlines and drama about trump. After four years, the country is exhausted!!!! But justice must be done.

My initial thought was that the country needed to move forward. But after what we have witnessed with his refusal to concede, the grifting of campaign contributions, the pardons related to his own crimes, and knowing there is probably so much more, I now think we need investigations into all of his crimes. We need to know. There has to be repercussions to running the executive branch like a crime syndicate.

If for no other reason than it being a deterrent for others in the future.

Honestly, I think it would go a long way in our society if the rich and powerful were made to suffer the consequences of wrongdoing in the same way as the the rest of society. We've lost that sense of right vs. wrong. In these times, there is no "wrong" for rich and powerful people. They're not forced to face consequences.

Epstein raped dozens of little girls with his friends, and the FBI sealed the records.

Don't want no rich powerful rapists in prison. Just normal folk.

We never even talk about Trumps 20 known victims.

this mob boss deserves an appointment date and time to start serving his sentence(s), concurrent I hope, and him waking up to hardened steel bars every morning. And hid grifter family left penniless and hungry...

Commission to investigate every illegal and criminal activity Trump did and make the findings public. Turn the results over to the DoJ to determine what to take to a grand jury and prosecute or hand over to state AG.

Nixon got off the hook, Bush was worse and he walked away Scott free, and if Trump, the worst of the lot, also gets a pass too, then the next Republican president will be unstoppable, carrying on this same criminal legacy without fear of any consequences.

It's long past time to put and end to Republicans who think they are above the rule of law.

Obama's failure to pursue Bush/Cheney on the war crimes front basically led a trump to become president as any prosecution of Bush/Cheney would have been line in the sand for accountability. Without accountability we have people like trump steamrolling the system. If Biden does not allow the DOJ to investigate and prosecute, the next trump in the Whitehouse will be 10x worse

his actions since the election has changed my mind. He needs to be investigated, and if it is found that he has violated the law, he needs to be tried and punished. Trump was elected as a President, not a king.

Go after him! If the GOPee Senate had DONE ITS JOB and REMOVED him, I might've let him slide. But not now. His dances with Putin since 2015, and stonewalling the investigations, his crimes against Ukraine--these things are TOO SERIOUS to just let them slide under the rug. IMHO.
We. Need. To. KNOW. what he has done with the power that we have given him.

Can we impeach and convict a President after he leaves office? He shouldn't continue to receive all the support and protection that ex-Presidents enjoy.

It would be good to expose the crimes of the Trump family and just how deep that corruption is. The one thing we can learn from the Trump era, is that Trump eroded norms to make fake scandals, that politically benefited him, we should erode norms on our side because people don’t give a crap about them anyway.
