President Trump criticized glossy US magazines for not offering his wife Melania Trump a single cover shoot while he has been in office, Business Insider reports.

Trump retweeted a Breitbart post that said “elitist snobs in the fashion press” were snubbing the “most elegant First Lady in American history.”

28. Proof that Trump has a strange definition for "elegant"

I remember reading that Trump himself was never accepted by the Manhattan elite - in spite of his celebrity and presumed fortune. His taste in his properties that ran to gold plating is not "elegant" or classy.

As to his taste in women, his taste runs to men's magazines of a certain type. Character, intelligence, and classical beauty is not important to him. He ignores that Melania was NEVER a top choice for covers in fashion magazines even when she was a young model. He ignores that the Democrats treated his wife's soft porn campaign with more respect than the Republicans gave to the career of Michelle (BA Princeton, JD Harvard). Can you imagine if a Democrat's wife as a young woman would have posed as she did?

Maybe someone might mention to him that those magazines choose covers with the hope that they will sell a large number of copies. Obviously, that is why had many lovely Michelle Obama covers. People LIKED (LOVED) her and the class, warmth and kindness that she projected. Even Melania must have known how impressive Michelle is -- after all she plagiarized Michelle's speech.

Jackie Kennedy was elegant. God knows Michelle Obama was elegant, and always will be.

Genuine warmth and charm was definitely part of that. They both loved the old White House, its history, and the people in it. They knew it is our home, too, and invited us in with books and television specials. They were very different women — Jackie’s stay was tragically brief, and afterward she wanted her privacy & not to be hounded by paparazzi, but she was never mean about it. Michelle has embraced a more public role, both during and after.

Body language, too. Melania looks as stiff as a mannequin at all times, teetering on impossibly high heels, face frozen by Botox.

The Don walked in and called the White House a dump. His consort never loved it or respected its place in our history for a minute. Being an immigrant and having a heavy accent is not the problem. She despises us, and it shows. Christmas decorations wouldn’t be a problem, except she made it one by despising us and letting it show.
