Why aren't reporters being honest about who's to blame here?

Pelosi made a deal with Mnuchin. McConnell refused to take up the bill.

Pelosi made a deal with McConnell. Trump refuses to sign the bill.

Who, exactly, is Pelosi supposed to be negotiating with and why aren’t reporters being honest about who’s to blame here?

with the right that they can't even begin to see it. And the reporters don't get to report honestly.

So everything is the fault of "congress", not simply Republicans in congress.

Anyone else notice?

Too few owners. Even fewer perspectives on what matters. The ultimate reality is based upon a falsehood: greed will drive good. Hasn’t happened yet, as the rich keep getting richer and the poor get less and less.

Newscorpse got smaller, Disney got bigger. Change Time Warner for AT&T. Viacom and CBS merged back again. A lot of Sinclair and Nexstar media is being ABC/NBC/CBS/Fox/CW/My affiliates which are owned by Disney/Comcast/ViacomCBS/Fox/AT&T. The question of who owns the 10% not controlled by these big 6 is harder to answer.

But at the root of the problem is Trump. It is both pointless and impossible to negotiate with him, because he always changes his mind and takes back whatever he offered or agreed upon. And he doesn't just do that to the other side. He does it to everyone.

There are two rules to follow to be a success in business, politics and even romance.

1. Say what you do

2. Do what you say.

Trump does neither, and that is why he fails at everything.

Back during the Carter administration that paralleled the move to make news divisions profit centers. All 4 major networks today have conservative ownership so what else are you to expect. And it that wasn't enough, along came Citizens United, which will forever define the Roberts court. Reporters aren't being honest because that is the desire of the conservative ownership. It's all about the money.

In 2020, American women don't have equal protection under the law. As a powerful woman, 2nd in line for the presidency, Pelosi is on the receiving end of endless sexism. We may have "come a long way, baby," but we still have far to go.
