How would you feel if your entire belief system had collapsed around you?

That must be how Donald feels?

He has worked harder since he lost the election than at anytime during the last 4 years.

He has created lies out of thin air and persuaded his followers to pronounce them as truth. It is so difficult to pull a rabbit out of a hat when you have no rabbit. Objective reality has slapped him hard.

It always worked for him in the past. He was able to bribe or threaten to get whatever he wanted.

However, this time, the stakes were much too high for him. Too many people knew he was an established liar and nobody was buying his stories without evidence.

So, all he could do was criticize and blame others for his loss. He cried and pouted and threatened everyone he thought was preventing him from realizing his dreams.

His world has collapsed around him.

34. Anthony Quinn Warner, self-employed computer guru ID'd as lone Nashville bomber, killed in blast
Sun Dec 27, 2020, 08:33 PM
Dec 2020

“You never saw anyone come and go,” Schmoldt said of Warner’s home. “Never saw him go anywhere. As far as we knew, he was kind of a computer geek that worked at home.”

Warner had placed lights and security cameras outside his house.

He would do a lot of work in his yard, where a tall antenna is prominent on the side of the house, Schmoldt said. Warner built the fence around his yard himself.

The neighbors never talked about politics or religion. Warner never gave any indication of any closely held ideology.

“I can tell you as far as politics, he never had any yard signs or flags in his window or anything like that. If he did have any political beliefs he kept, that was something he kept to himself.

Federal and state prosecutors can't be scared off with the usual huffing and puffing. What he did to get into office and while in office isn't going to just go away. He can't trust the Pence to pardon him and self pardoning is probably a no go with an unreliable SCOTUS. So really, he's trapped. Ironic, really. He had a pretty good gig going that probably involved money laundering for overseas criminal elements.
Profitable and relatively low profile. Then he blew it all up with delusions of grandeur. Worst thing that ever happened to Donnie was being elected President.

When President Trump leaves office, a slew of investigations promise to cause him legal headaches, including congressional inquiries and probes by the Attorneys General of New York and Washington, D.C. But there's just one publicly known investigation that could lead to criminal charges for Mr. Trump, and it's being led by a district attorney whose office is up for grabs in 2021.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. is overseeing the investigation, which initially targeted hush-money payments made during the 2016 campaign to adult film star Stormy Daniels by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. However, Vance's office has indicated in court filings that the investigation has since widened to look at possible crimes as wide-ranging as fraud and tax evasion.

Sun Dec 27, 2020, 11:28 PM

I don’t think in black and white absolutes.

I’m spiritually agnostic because, while I’m highly suspect of the notion that there’s a robed white dude in the sky who cares whether or not I’m gay, I accept there are a LOT of things I don’t know about the universe. I sure would be disappointed to learn that God is A-OK with Joel Osteen grifting money for a huge mansion and private jet while people starve to death, but who knows?

I don’t think any leader is an infallible messiah, no matter how good they appear to be. Obviously the gulf of basic humanity between someone like Barack Obama and a shitstain like trump or McConnell is vast, but that doesn’t mean I think Obama is perfect by any stretch.

Sure I’m disappointed when someone I greatly admire turns out to be not so great, but simply don’t think it’s possible for my entire belief system to crash around me because I allow myself to change my mind as facts emerge.
