I really don't think Trump even cares about $2000

He doesn’t want to sign the relief bill because he is mad....saying that $600 is too low is an excuse he can use...

3. It's not just the $2000. He has a whole set of demands to remove a lot of other funding.

Plus repeal section 230.

Democrats have been playing up the $2000, because that is something they agree with, and good politics.

But they will not agree to Trump's other demands.

This was just another cynical, political ploy on his part. It was much more about punishing his "enemies" instead of helping "the people". He is such a heartless bastard.
