After this debacle with Trump and Republicans trying to illegally nullify the election, end democracy, overthrow our government, and establish a permanent authoritarian dictatorship with Trump appointed as dictator for life, there are no more excuses or justifications for someone to willingly be a member of the Republican party. No reasonable, decent human being would ever become a member of the Republican party, because of all the evil the Republican party has done, is doing, and will continue to do.

The Republican party is a collective of anti-American fascists, intent on ending democracy in America. They are the enemies of our country, and they have proven this, beyond all reasonable doubt.

That surrenders the entire GOP to Trump and Trumpism. 30M GOP voters are Trump loyalists and will follow him off of the top of Trump Tower. But 40M more GOP voters are essentially GOP loyalists and only follow Trump as far as the GOP tells them to.

For the sake of our country, the GOP brand can't be handed to Trump. Trump and his 30M Trump Tower Jumpers need to be pushed into forming their own MAGA Party.

To pull that off requires that "rational" Republicans need to do some tricky balancing to push the next-era of the GOP back toward the center by pushing out the MAGA, threatening to leave the GOP, enough of them actually leaving to prove they are serious, but... ultimately staying in the GOP to secure the 40M voters are lead back toward the center.

It's a nearly impossible balancing act, but it's made feasible by Trump's own narcissism. He wants so badly to be the center of it all, that he might force a MAGA 3rd Party just out of spite.
