I'm 73, retired, and my only source of income is social security. Will we SSI recipients get a stimulus check. Or is that only for people who filed unemployment. I did get that first check a year ago.

(2,475 posts)Not really. I'm appalled. While it may put some groceries on some folk's tables, it is completely inadequate to address the need in this country.

Aside from that, I think our Government is giving us that money via a printing press.

And here we go again,how many of those who did not get a check in the first go around fall through the cracks once again.

Hoping we dont get ours before the first because due to a layoff in November,, our tax rate will be much lower next year.

(1,098 posts)SSI is a welfare program. You will get the stimulus check by direct deposit if that is how you get paid for SSR otherwise they will mail you a check.
