General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI live in GA. I got ten pieces of mail about voting just today.
I have more than two dozen sets of texts from various groups asking me to vote, or how I intend to vote.
I've started delaying tv viewing so I can fast forward through ads, which are frequently political.
I'm ready for this to be over.

After a long General election period, we got an extra two months of campaigning.

(23,949 posts)and I get about 10 emails a day about helping the vote in Georgia... I am anxious for this to be over, for you and hopefully, with Democratic wins so we all can be glad it's over

(31,772 posts)I get at least 30 texts and 100 emails a day about the georgia runoff...
The ones I hate say something like "we are packing up" or "it's over" or some other defeatist crap. I have contributed $500 so far through act blue.

(54,770 posts)it takes, I can handle a few more days. Ossoff and Warnocks ads are pretty good actually.
Im really tired of the commie/socialist, tax and spend, defund police, deplete military, AOC doesnt want to negotiate, Rev Wright BS from Perdue and Loffeler.

(64,025 posts)Warnock has the best ads. I like the latest with him walking about ten dogs, pulling him to the polls.

for some guy named "Jerry" in Georgia.. just got 2 more today Asking "Why is he Waiting to Vote?". I think Jerry must no longer be with us or in hiding lol.. somehow they got my number that I've had for 10 years!
Evidently from the texts over these months including the primary he was a big donor & they realize they're hounding him but why didn't he vote Early?"
And, they're Always Lying about the Dems.. the latest was "the Dems are gearing up to take AWAY our GUNS."
MagickMuffin
(18,206 posts)It seems to never fail. And yet with every Democratic president no one has taken their guns unless they weren't suppose to possess them because they are felons and criminals and might use the guns in an illegal act.

(64,025 posts)Seriously, I appreciate the national effort put into the senate races. Aren't you glad the campaign is almost finished? No more emails asking for money, phone banking, texting, etc.
I got one text asking if they could count on my support for Kelly Looffa and Perdue. "Hell, NO." and "STOP" were my response.
Yep, our household received a few postcards.

(34,213 posts)The only thing that surprised me was not having more star Democrats in GA more often to stimulate more early and mail-in voting.
But it does look the Obama, Biden, and Harris will be here over the weekend and Monday to GOTV for Election Day and that's pretty darn good.

(64,025 posts)I got a couple of postcards, for certain. When I got each one, I wondered if it was a DUer who might have sent it. It was certainly possible. I felt gratitude.
The impersonal mass mailings are tiresome, and easy to recycle.
Thank you for your hard work for Jon and Rev.
