Senator David Perdue quarantines due to COVID-19 exposure

ATLANTA, Ga. -- According to Senator David Perdue's campaign team, the Senator will quarantine due to COVID-19 exposure.

The Senator was notified that he came into close contact with someone on the campaign who tested positive for the virus.

Perdue and his wife tested negative but they are following the doctor's recommendations in accordance with the CDC guidelines and will quarantine.

The campaign team says that the Senator and his wife have tested regularly throughout the campaign and will continue to follow CDC guidelines.
