If Pence is shot by a firing squad there's no vice president to act as president of the senate, but the constitution provides that the senate can choose a president pro tem, which they have already done; it's Chuck Grassley. He is also third in line for the presidency, after Pelosi. So without Pence, the job of overturning the election would go to Grassley, but he's not likely to do it, so Wood would have to shoot him, too. There's no way Pompeo fits into this insane scheme at all, because there is no line of succession to the vice presidency.
