And, when they do, he very often does something to thwart their efforts. For example, the time Trump asked the doctors about injecting disinfectants to fight the Covid virus. Trump's supporters made a big effort to try and say he was talking about an experimental treatment that used UV light to disinfect by inserting a light down the throat. But, Trump being an idiot, didn't even have the sense to go along with what his apologists had come up with. He instead told the world that his question during an emergency press conference was just him being "sarcastic". In other words, an insane president talking about injecting disinfects, sarcastically during an informational press conference with a world wide pandemic going on. It all comes back to Trump being insane.
