(10,480 posts)However, I fear that prosecuting Trump as the mobster he is, would be too harsh an admission for most to handle. The majority of politicians, even Dems, will balk at the stark truth it will tell if it's handled as it should be and justice prevails.
Never mind that fact that allowing white collar criminals like Trump to get away with murder. while shooting certain people for possibly stealing a cigar, or whatever the fuck, is a far worse and shameful admission about what we claim to be the greatest democracy on earth--or "democratic republic", as I'd be reminded by those who are nevertheless 100% behind USA's wars and assassinations supposedly meant to spread USA-style democracy throughout the world.
tRump again is adding more illegal deeds to his long list. Fuck him. More crimes have been committed.

Don't know whether a court of law would say it is attempted blackmail. The words "I'm putting you on notice" are the closest thing, but not sure how that would be interpreted, i.e., on notice of what? That wasn't specified. tRump (or actually his lawyers) would just argue that he was just letting the GA SOS know clearly that he wasn't happy by that word choice, that there was no threat real or implied.
I believe the Washington Post story said it was from yesterday (Saturday).

Raffensberger and Germany know that president is on his way out and, therefore, carries no political weight any longer. They were careful in their rebuttal of Trumps lies and false allegations, however, and didnt even suggest to him that what he was doing was almost certainly criminal. But they held their ground. So Kudos to them both.
Trump should go to jail for so many things. But this is a glaring one. A crime committed in full daylight with audio evidence. Pity is, he wont be called to account for it by the Law.

This is probably nothing compared to other things he's trying to do that we don't know about. trumps a corrupt criminal, and if he doesn't get held accountable , and sent to prison , we will lose our Democracy from a lack of law and order, and especially justice. The American people will lose all faith in our government if this has no serious consequences.

(1,178 posts)Not sure if asking to have votes "re-calculated" would be illegal. However, if the Secretary of State actually followed through on doing that for Trump, then that opens up the illegalities.
