Took a drive

I haven't started the car for almost a week. I had to drop off a payment (outside box) and decided to take the Prius for a drive to make sure it is charged and anything else. I decided to drive out in the country, on roads I haven't travelled for quite a while. I live in Washington County, Ohio where 79% of the voters chose impeached traitor. Even so, I was dismayed at how many trump/pence signs and flags were still displayed, and how many confederate flags were flying. I noticed that the signs and flags are in front of dilapidated houses, with yards full of trash and junked cars. I feel like if people can't run their own lives, they should shut up about politics. If they are flying a c.s.a. flag, don't tell me you love America. You are lying to yourself and to me.

On the way home, I came out from the country drive to the biggest intersection near my house. It has a traffic light and on the main route, turn lanes. I wasn't allowed to turn left, so took another drive in the country to get back to my house, which is a mi nute away from the intersection. What a metaphor for our country. People in the wreck either broke the law, or were short-sighted, caused a lot of damage, and held the rest of us up.

In my area its either rundown houses or farmers with Trump signs. I thought I was the only one who noticed that.

What you observed is so true. I think more and more folks are just that much more aware of the true landscape as a result of Diaper Don being finally being shown the door of Truth.
