How the P in PBS got turned backward

The PBS logo was PBS with the P a person's silhouette--the round part of the P was the round back of the head, the opening in the P an eye, and a little triangle on the straight leg as a nose.

Since 1984, though, the P has been turned backward.

Ronald Reagan objected to the little P person in PBS's looking to the left--no kidding--and requested that the face be turned so that the little P person was looking to the right.

Republicans. Sigh.

We had BBC Two.

In the 1970s and early 1980s it was usual for BBC 2 to open up around lunchtime for Play School... And then shut down again when this 15 minute program was over

Most afternoons viewers would be "treated" to the test card (test pattern) and some royalty free instrumental music.

It was all black and white and had nothing for children.

I remember when I was in high school, my sister was watching this new show on Educational TV. I'm like, "Why are watching that?" She was also in high school. She was watching Sesame Street. She thought it was cool.....

Special and fuck face Reagan popped up. Profanity flowed forth from my mouth until I was able to find my remote control. I am glad I recorded it. When I resume watching I will be ready with my remote in my hand, ready to fast forward. I hate him almost ad much as the fucking moron. Reagun was the beginning of the treasonous, deceitful, corrupt GOP actions that would ruin our economy and our country.
