Donald Trump could be planning Turnberry trip as Scots airport told to expect a high-flyer the day before Joe Biden’s inauguration

US President Donald Trump could be planning a trip to Scotland to avoid attending his successor Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to aviation sources.

Prestwick airport has been told to expect the arrival of a US military Boeing 757 aircraft, that is occasionally used by Trump, on January 19 – the day before his Democratic rival takes charge at the White House.

Speculation surrounding Trump’s plans has been fuelled by the activity of US Army aircraft, which were based at Prestwick airport for a week and said to be carrying out 3D reconnaissance of the president’s Turnberry resort.

Sources at Prestwick said two US military surveillance aircraft were circling Turnberry in November, using the Ayrshire aviation hub as a base. US media has reported that Trump will break with tradition and snub the inauguration of President Joe Biden on January 20, instead announcing a re-election bid on Air Force One.

Not that he’d do so well in Scotland, where they’re after him for tax evasion.

Cold, wet, windy, and dark @ 3:00 pm. Enjoy it Donny.

BTW Scotland should seize his golf course on the N.E. coast he promised thousands of jobs
and it has produced less than 100 most of which are as golf caddies. And Trump ruined a
very rare dune community ecosystem in building that course. It needs to be restored to its
native state.

As it won't be his plane anymore. If he does this I think it is a first step of a larger plan. Scotland I think would extradite him if he was charged with a crime, so he will have to move on from there quickly. So an overland route to Russia is the final step in the plan??

Covid in Scotland: What are the latest lockdown rules?
https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-53166816

What are the rules on travel?

People living under level three or four restrictions should not travel outside their own local authority area for anything other than "essential" reasons.

The exceptions to this law include travelling for work, education, outdoor exercise, healthcare or caring responsibilities, essential shopping or visiting someone in your extended household.

It is illegal to travel between Scotland and other parts of the UK unless the journey is essential.

The Scottish government strongly advises against non-essential foreign travel, and the tougher restrictions mean that non-essential travel into and out of Scotland is prohibited.
