I especially like the Brazilian locale with writhing venomous snakes but it’s unfair to the poor snakes, so Enewetak Atoll would be better as it is fitting given that anything he touches dies. But since he’s Putin’s bootlicker I’m sure Vlad would gladly give him a scenic dacha in Chernobyl where his orange glow would fit nicely into the radioactive landscape.

...but Trump has also taken a 757 on trips to locations where runways are shorter & hangars are smaller.

The longest runway at Andrews AFB is 9755 ft if I recall correctly, & the longest runway at Prestwick is 9797 ft, so that wouldn't prevent Trump from taking one of the 747s there. I suspect, if it is him on the plane, it's a combination of Prestwick being the Scottish base for all Trump Aviation Operations, & he's been told in no uncertain terms that the "regular" AF1 & backup (the 747s) MUST be available for the new president at noon on the 20th.

Trump has gotten away with a lot but I'm confident that the AF folks who are in charge of those aircraft would give him a firm NO on the idea of having them out of the country on the 20th.

Mon Jan 4, 2021, 05:16 PM

It isn't clear if the plane will leave on the 19th or arrive on the 19th. It takes at least 10 hours to get there, although the type of plane would make a difference. The airport is 20 miles away from his golf course.

We don't know who will be on that plane. A 757 that can be used by Pence, or Trump, or Melania. My guess is it will be Trump.

On Jan. 20th, Noon, it's over for him. But, Scotland is on lockdown until Feb. 5th. Still, he can apparently golf there on a limited basis. So, let's have him hop off the plane, and leave the airport. Then, refuel our plane and have it take off again. We could supply fresh pilots from the forces there, I'm guessing.

Why should we extend any courtesy to him after Jan. 20th, Noon? Biden should recall the plane. Plus, how long would he be there?

Do you think he is planning to steal this plane?

Unless it's just a stopover on his way to Moscow, it's a futile effort.

I don't underestimate Trump.

He had paramilitary people, a helicopter fly over when he gassed the people at Lafayette Park. If I were Joe Biden I would make damn sure I had adequate protection on Jan. 20th. There are conspiracy rumors, I know we aren't supposed to do conspiracies, that Trump will use the military, para military to arrest Biden on Jan. 20th.

Laugh at me, but 10 former Defense Secretaries wrote an Op Ed urging the military not participate in an election. Why did they write that Op Ed? On a whim or do they have inside contacts who know something?

Joachin Castro was also on TV talking about Trump using the military, he is not a nut case.

I know this is very very far fetched, but if I were Biden I would be prepared.

Wouldn't be surprised if BJ allowed him in. He can go there and not think about his loss, legal issues, lawsuits, etc. And since the country will be on lockdown, its going to be very hard to access Trump from the states. Melania will pick out a house in Florida and stay there until Trump's lawyers negotiate all his legal issues. After that, he'll limp back to Mar a Lago and either stay away from Melania or get served divorce papers.

This will cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.

BTW, the Scotland has an extradition treaty with the US, if I'm not mistaken. So, if he's planning an escape from prosecution, that's not where he's going to head.
