Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsMy prediction: Mitch McConnell will not be Majority Leader, even if both Republicans win in Georgia.
I believe that at least 2 Republicans will change their affiliation to Independent and will caucus with the Democrats if both Republican candidates win in Georgia.
It's just a hunch and no inside information.
Some might say it is only wishful thinking?

(111,110 posts)I think there are a few that believe Mitch McConnell has been too close to the politics of Donald Trump and is greatly responsible for the situation we now find ourselves. They do not want that to continue, in my opinion.

(11,645 posts)Murkowski is most likely, she was primaried by the GOP a few years back and won back her seat as an independent didn't she? Probably wouldn't hurt her in Alaska. Romney probably could pull it off in Utah as well given his unique base.

(17,865 posts)If I was Biden, I would just hand a print out to the incoming AG of the following Factcheck.

By Sunday, the conspiracy theory had made its way to Fox News. "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo noted that a name written on the back of a federal subpoena included in the Posts story appears to belong to Joshua Wilson, an FBI agent who has worked on child pornography cases.
"Connect the dots: If an FBI agent is working on child pornography issues for five years, why is he subpoenaing the laptop of Hunter Biden? Is there a connection here?" Bartiromo asked Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis.
Johnson did not give a direct answer. "Well, I think you just made the connection," he said. "Again, this is what the FBI, I think, has to come clean about."

(63,922 posts)about who's going to be the AG??? It's got to be someone who is strong and believes in accountability, none of this sweeping under the rug.

(16,511 posts)The more I think about it, the more sense it makes. He'd have a very hard time taking a back seat to somebody else, especially a Democrat!
Either way, this is going to be a looong day!

(5,501 posts)While his replacement would be a Democratic appointee, it puts the governor in a tough spot. Does he nominate himself? Or does he run for reelection?
1 senator doesn't make the difference, especially since the moderates will really be in control.
And you have to wonder how much Mitch wants to lead the shit-show that Cruz and his gang have become.
