(6,023 posts)incumbent. She's also slightly more obnoxious than Perdue, so that could be figuring in. And Warnock could be more popular with black/brown groups than Ossoff. Probably a combination of everything, but it's a remarkably consistent difference all night.

(15,290 posts)she talked to said they liked 1 of the Rs and 1 of the Ds, but most had decided they had to vote for both of the same party what with the Senate and all. Although a split would keep the Rs in control at 51-49 so perhaps some voters decided to split their ticket.

(2,074 posts)Purdue is from an old Georgia family, whereas Loeffler is not. Plus she's a woman, and Purdue looks like a senator from Central Casting. So I think Osoff has a slightly steeper hill to climb than Warnock does.
