All I can get from any news channel is this "too close to call" bullshit, with no mention at all of who is currently leading.
It is 6:45 in the damn morning.
It also seems like there is a corporate clampdown on publicizing Ossoff's win, if that is what happened, and I'm guessing it is.

(522 posts)Should be able to sustain the lead in a recount.

(19,974 posts)0.5% lead which kills the automatic recount. Main batch of 8,000 mail in votes won't be counted until later this afternoon.

(65,212 posts)They're essentially calling it, though.
They're saying he's x thousand ahead, but many votes still to be counted are from blue regions, so they expect the lead to grow.
While they're still not outright declaring, they aren't acting like there's a chance he won't win.
They're focusing on the automatic recount threshold, not on the outcome itself.

(61,712 posts)Recounts very rarely change outcomes. Despite Trump's lies, this election was fair and accurate. (Other than the vote suppression that hurts Democrats from the start, by preventing lots of people from voting.)

(4,546 posts)On MSNBC and CNN, Ossoff currently has about a 16K lead. We are waiting on more votes in Democratic strongholds around Atlanta. They will start counting again in those places this morning and should be done by early afternoon. The vote is currently 98% in.
I just saw Kornacki live about a half hour ago on Morning Joe. He said Ossoff should end up with a lead of at least 20K, which should put him beyond the recount threshold, but that depends on how many votes Perdue gains. Perdue will not be able to win with what is left to count and report, but he could gain enough to keep Ossoff below the .5 threshold for a recount.
Ossoff WILL be the winner. It will just take a little more time to get the remaining votes counted and reported. Everyone is waiting for that. Hope that helps! No worries! We got this!

(11,885 posts)They can't call it yet. I bet it's getting pretty close if the areas left on CNN are right . The separation for Ossof is still growing, so another 8-10,000 in his favor maybe what they're waiting on.

(26,142 posts)He won. He will have over 20K votes as a margin when everything is counted.

(82,849 posts)Daily Kos, which has pretty good analysts, has looked at the remaining votes to be counted (DeKalb and Fulton Counties), and feels that Ossoff will win handily.
