The election had to have been stolen because he can't comprehend loss.
The idea that the election was stolen and not lost, has been the premise of this political malfeasance. If he lost the election it was because it was rigged. He said this in 2016. The realization that he could go down in history as having lost is incomprehensible to his ego. He is obsessed. Therefore, he has used every lever in his political arsenal, whether legal or illegal, to try to prove that he won. Insisting that the election was stolen from him is a shield for his ego. The more people he can convince of this delusion, the more real it seems.
We didn't realize in 2016 that his statement about the election being rigged if he didn't win was just a glimpse of what was simmering beneath. We continue to pay the price for the election of this damaged soul.
