He will be a hero to the red hats. Who now control the Republican party. Or rather the Trump Party.

By the time 2024 rolls around it will be like after Nixon had to resign - hardly anybody would admit to having supported or voted for him. Trump will be a hero only for as long as he can command huge audiences, and without the presidency he won't be able to hold his Nuremberg rallies. If the GOP becomes the Trump party it will eventually, though not immediately, shrivel up along with him.

I really do.

But I do not think we know yet if the Republican party will continue to shift into crazy land. If local elections in mostly middle America continue to elect QAnon reps. Now with new RW TV media, like NewsMax and AONN, Sinclair who may stay in the conspiracy theory arena, because it is sensational and controversial and that attracts viewers. And that will only stoke the embers for the Trump cult.

It may force the Republican party to come to a head. And personally, I am not convinced that, when it comes down to it, their base would choose to go back to Mitch McConnell and the Republican establishment, listen to Romney and the Bushes or other past Republican statespersons and go home and be quiet for four years.

As long as Trump has a shot at another term, once these idiots do leave the Capital, they will look at Biden's term as a bump in the road. That possibility of re-election for their Dear Leader will keep their Great White Hope alive.

Which is why it is imperative that Biden allow Garland to prosecute every crime he uncovers by this gang of thugs in the R party. (And yes, Biden would have to agree to it no matter what he says about independence)

This should put a permanent end to his political career. He should also lose his law license for inciting violence.

He and Cruz took sides, decidedly against America's democratic Republic. May they both rot!
