Seriously, I can't understand why there weren't phalanxes of cops in riot gear ringing the Capitol building.

This was clearly a dereliction on someone's part. They could hear Trump inciting the mob for an hour and telling them to march on the Capitol. They were forewarned - why weren't they prepared?

During the BLM protests, when they wanted an area cleared, they gave a warning and then started teargassing and arresting people for trespassing. They're letting these people just hang out like they're at a street festival.

They were allowed to storm the Capitol evidenced by the lack of enough police and NG to keep them out.

And only one shot.

And that happened AFTER they broke through the barriers, overran the police, stormed the building, and invaded the Congressional Chambers and various offices of elected officials.

They didn't even fire tear gas until the insurrectionists stormed the building.

Had it been BLM or Antifa, dead bodies everywhere. OUTSIDE of the building.
