The identification of this person matters to me right now, in a visceral way that it should not but does...I have no sympathy for the attackers, none at all. If this person was an innocent, then there was murder done in the halls of governance today and that would further break my shattered heart.

Her death was caused by Trump and his enablers. As well as her own willful ignorance.

It is tragic, her death - but the tragedy is everything the GOP has allowed Trump to get away with - everything they ignored, dismissed, or downplayed. Everything they encouraged.

She was convinced of her rightness. Emboldened by her whiteness. She was lied to year after year after year and she thought she was safe in her support of Trump. It never once entered her mind that Trump didn't give a fuck about her. That Trump didn't give a fuck if she died. It never occurred to her that storming the Capitol and rushing to invade and occupy the chambers of Congress could lead to her death. Because, Trump!

How fucking sad is that? To be so brainwashed. To be so self-assured in her own ignorance.

The doors are wood but with glass panes in the upper part. They are seen, on video, breaking the windows out, and the woman tried to crawl in then, after pushing a duffle bag in first - then a shot rings out and the woman goes down.

So, no. She wasn't a staffer. Would a staffer be stupid enough to be in the crowd that was breaking down the doors?
