Peaceful leftist protestors aren't routinely armed. It's easy to push them around when the law enforcement people have their semi-automatic rifles at the ready. Trumpist knuckleheads? Can't tell immediately which ones are packing and if any of them have slipped in behind you. Much safer to welcome them with open arms, escort them into the building, hand them floor plans of the building*, and take selfies with the terrorists.

*Okay, that one might not have happened.
