This started out as a small group as well.
The leader of their revolution made it to the Presidency.

These people want the same person in charge so they want a dictatorship.

In any case I believe in the working from within thing and so does Bernie Sanders which is why he was the first candidate to sign the unity pledge and endorsed & campaigned for the Democratic nominee.

I'm surprised he was accused of wanting to burn the house down when this is what burning the house down looks like.
