Who has had to end relationships with family members today?

I've scraped off two family members (and counting) today because of racist posts on social media. For example, I posted an angry shot of the Trumper carrying a Confederate Battle Flag in the halls of Congress, and I had an uncle who responded "About time, looks better than BLM bullshit."

So I immediately blocked his posts, and moved on. For all intents and purposes, he's out of my life. I do not expect to speak to him again on the green side of the grass. Not by choice, in any case.

Haven’t spoken to my siblings since September. Even less inclined to do so now.

Today, I posted a message telling them to leave our friendship if they support this. This includes lifelong friends who have been through huge ups and downs with me. Painful.

I went through this a few years ago and have not regretted it. There have to re consequences to people’s racist and or ignorant behavior that threatens our democracy.

I called out an ex sister law on her racist statements and said I had no interest in speaking to her again until she educated herself on BLM. Surprise, surprise she never called back. 😬
