(5,060 posts)The inauguration was already a very small, private and invite only event while most of the events will be done remotely via streaming. There will be a large police presence to stop anyone who isn't invited.

(17,565 posts)Personally I believe that the swearing in ceremony should be indoors - I fear for his amd Harriss safety and an outdoor venue and giving the opportunity for security clashes and riots in open areas is too dangerous

I think Biden's and Harris's protection will be going up anyway despite where or when they are someplace.
