General Discussion

For years, we have watched the rise of violent, radicalized right-wing groups who are irrational, ignorant, butt-hurt for no apparent reason, and extremely dangerous.
Yesterday, and all the video that resulted from the shameful display yesterday, gives us what we need to neutralize these groups.
Law enforcement can identify these imbeciles, yes, but in identifying them, their circles of contacts can also be identified. Their friends who didn't come to the insurrection, but who might be even more dangerous because they are smart enough to keep a low profile. Yesterday delivered everything we need to neutralize the vast majority of right-wing terrorists and their networks.
Under President Biden, I dearly hope this opportunity is exploited to the fullest.

I think I learned this from The Wizard of Oz, maybe?
Sorry...making light.
I don't even know if it changes minds, but at this point, with THIS evidence, regardless of changing minds, there is right and it is apparent!!!

(3,911 posts)I believe Mitch McConnell had a hand in this debacle. Mitch McConnell needed a way to rebuild the Republican Party by separating it from Donald tRump without losing his voters. Mitch McConnell appointed the Sergeant of Arms for the senate who is part of the Capitol Police Board. The Capitol Police Board of three people appoint the Chief of the Capitol Police.

(541 posts)It's so clear that everyone involved in the insurrection must be prosecuted.
We're lucky they tipped their hand yesterday so security can be
maximized for the inauguration.
