Just Curious. Do You Think Senate MINORITY LEADER McConnell Will Appoint Any Of The 13 Members of..

...THE SEDITION CAUCUS to any committees? After all, he told them NOT to object to the certification. Yet 13 of them said they were going to. Then, after a few hours of hiding under their desks, wearing gas masks, while neo-confederate hillbillies ransacked the Capitol, a few of them changed their minds. Not because of Moscow Mitch's directive, but because they realized that aligning themselves with an actual VIOLENT INSURRECTION was suddenly a political liability for them. It doesn't get any more craven than that.

So, what do you think? Will Moscow Mitch lock ANY members of the SEDITION CAUCUS out of committee assignments? Or maybe just Cruz and Hawley? Or maybe all 13?

My money says the entire SEDITION CAUCUS will be sitting on committees next month.

PS-Be sure to LABEL THESE 13 SENATORS as THE SEDITION CAUCUS! Make the label STICK, because that's what they are. Also, all 140 odd members of the House who were in on it should also be labelled as MEMBERS OF THE SEDITION CAUCUS!

The Senate SEDITION CAUCUS:
-Cruz (aka Mr. Haney)
-Hawley (aka Senator White Power Salute)
-Blackburn
-Haggerty
-Lankford
-Braun
-Johnson (aka Fishface plastic man)
-Daines
-Kennedy (aka bad Walter Brennan impersonator)
-Lummis
-Marshall
-Tuberville (aka Loserville)
-Loeffler (aka 'don't let the doorknob hit you in the ass')

They all should be defunded. Find out who their corporate sponsors are and call them by name.

But, no i don't think he would give any of them any committee positions. Hs wife just resigned , and after trump got stopped a IG investigation of them both, and He just lost his majority position, so I doubt he's there long at all. He knows what he and his wife were involved in, and he and others in Congress will be leaving soon knowing Justice is coming.

...invoking the 24th Amendment. That's why most of the others are scrambling for the exit as well.

And Mitch has no choice but to say on as minority leader. If he quits, Andy Beshear can appoint a Democrat (or at least an independent) to replace him. So, as miserable as he may be for the next two years, he's stuck. Stuck like a runaway turtle on a piece of rat paper.

to steal as much money as he can. It's the only reason republicans run for office. They are there to loot the place. And as long as he's got a pulse he's got six more years to do it.

They still need people to cover the Committees and do the work, but the desirable assignments will go elsewhere.

be put on committees to do work they were sent to do. Just not what they would have hoped for. Unless, for extreme infractions they're effectively expelled.

McConnell's usual style, though, has always been to deal with problem members quietly, rather than taking a baseball bat to their heads at a gathering of their peers to make a big point of it.

I predict they will still want their useful idiots in positions of power.
