Waiting for your $600.00 check?

I just heard on WCVB Boston that the checks are being delayed because the IRS sent the initial checks out too soon and the system is severely backlogged. I missed part of the notification but it seems that we should not count on getting this check too soon. This is a major screw-up for a lot of people. Can this government do anything right?

Many of us needed that extra $$$, the plumber is expecting his check this week, house taxes due Feb 1 and then of course there are other bills for all of us.

I have trouble understanding how we have fallen so far but I bet it has something to do with the ineptitude of the tRump administration.

scheduled to be mailed 01/06 (yesterday)...I guess it could be a check or a prepaid debit card...This, in spite of the fact that I get SS monthly by direct deposit and the first stimulus payment came that way...so, who knows...may show up in a few days or never...

It also told me that I would get a letter from the IRS. Don't know what that means.

I always filed my taxes using direct deposit, so that surely helped me.

8. Weird - I got mine days ago but my husband (and yes, we have the same last name

and file joint returns) has not gotten his. Last stimulus, we didn't get ours until weeks and weeks after others on here had gotten theirs.

And they say those people have to wait to file their taxes to get a rebate credit. That is disgraceful as there was no chance to change anything. I sure hope the $2000 amount (if sent) turns out better.

My bank even sent an email prior to that, explaining that I could probably expect it the week of the 4th.
