It seems to me that there was both inside help and outside help. This was a coup attempt timed to disrupt the counting of the ballots. If things hadn't been aimed like that, we might have seen many more people arrested.

There was something wrong with yesterday's response by the authorities. We only know what the rumors say. But, it just looks like the DC cops were told not to do anything, and the Guard, who we were told were deployed already, weren't really there. And then, people wanted to call on the Guard, even neighboring Guards, but they weren't allowed to, until Pence called for help. Pence.
Look how fast the crowds dissipated when the Guard finally rolled in, a curfew was applied, and it got dark. How simple it seemed.
A lot of those idiots are going to come down with Covid 19 for their participation. Trump isn't worth that.
What I am trying to say is that it wasn't so much a case of white privilege to riot and then go home as it was a case of preplanned complicity with Trump's coup attempt. Now, when no one is prosecuted or they get slaps on the hand, then, maybe...we'll see.
