When the domestic terrorists smashed their wayLast edited Fri Jan 8, 2021, 11:46 AM - Edit history (1)
into the capital building January 6, 2021, they were more than ready to cause destruction and violence. When they encountered Officer Brian Sicknick, they didn't care if he was a Democrat or a Republican. He was simply the enemy. They then, without a thought of who he was, of his loved ones and those dear to him at home, bashed his head in with a fire extinguisher
On the flipside, Officer Brian Sicknick didn't care whether the people in the building were Republicans or Democrats. He had taken an oath to protect them. All of them. People like Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Amy Klobuchar, and hundreds of of other Senators and Congressmen and women on both sides of the aisle. The few seconds he gave everyone in the chambers by giving up his own life may have been just the time needed to alert the danger, begin locking down and begin the evacuations. I am at a loss to why this hasn't been stated here on DU before this. At least some of the terrorists were going to, at the least, take hostages. At the worst, take out the entire line of Succession. This didn't happen thank the Gods. But every second counted. And our country survived THIS exchange. We need brave people who at the right time do the right thing up to and including giving their lives for even strangers and political opposites. I have no more words to say (that wouldn't get my post hidden, that is) except RIP Officer Brian Sicknick. ![]() ![]() revmclaren

3. They were carrying zip ties & mace, retweeting about arresting Pence. Deadly serious.
I hope Sicknick's murderers are caught and punished. There are many witnesses among the MAGAts, but it will take hard work to piece it all together.
Somebody may have photo'd or video'd the murder or the moments leading up to it. Create a big huge investigation, interview every person who can be found to have been inside. Re-interview them as more information becomes available. Offer plea deals. Make them all squirm. Retrace everybody's movements. Build a timeline. Narrow it down. The Capitol has special cell phone cells so that there is full coverage inside. This means that the records can show where most cell phones were and when, localized to specific areas. |

8. Zip ties, mace, and Lin Woods yammering about putting Pence in front of a firing squad.
These are some dark, dark days.
We need a top-to-bottom review, arrests, trials, and a de-Trumpification of our government. In order to heal, we'll need a Trump crimes commission. Putin is smiling. |

that would have captured this murder.

23. Rioters had brought along sledge hammers and breaching crowbars. There clearly was
a plan to take the buildings.

4. Thank you for pointing out that Sicknick's sacrifice may have saved many lives
MAGAts would have had to step over and around Officer Sicknick's dying body. |

6. Thank you.
It was a very sad day for America and humanity.
So many people completely lost their ability to think and process information rationally. Mob mentality and loss of humanity makes me feel such deep grief. |

12. I noticed yesterday in a photo where...
the RW Terrorists were trying to break inner doors in a hallway and I saw chairs had been piled up unseen behind the bottom half of the door from floor to some what above the he beginning of the doors glass (top half)
where you could see them. Then I read that Staffers piled them up impeding the RWTs |

they murdered a police officer. If this was Iran we would likely be bombing them by now.
