Security for the Inauguration Will Not Be a Minor Thing in Any Way

The seditious invasion of the Capitol building was a wake-up call. On January 20, there will be far, far more armed police, SS agents, swat teams, national guard soldiers and other authorities on the scene. Nobody is going to get anywhere near the Capitol steps. That will not happen.

If people seriously try to go past the barriers and storm the Inauguration, they will be shot dead. There will be no Capitol police taking selfies with the invaders. There will be no unarmed National Guard soldiers. Everyone will be armed, including many hundreds of armed plainclothes officers throughout any crowd that shows up near the barriers.

A lesson was learned on January 6. Such a thing will not repeat itself on Inauguration Day. No flagpoles will be allowed, nor signs on sticks. Anyone who comes there and is armed will be taken down and arrested immediately.

Further, if someone thinks they can crash a private plane into the Inauguration venue, any such plane will be shot down long before it gets anywhere close.

Heavy vehicle barriers, too, will be set up everywhere close to the Capitol. Nobody is going to drive anything anywhere near the Inauguration.

The instant anything untoward happens, the President, Vice-President, and whichever SCOTUS Justice is to give the oath will be surrounded by security personnel and whisked away immediately to a safe place and the oath will be administered there.

That said, I urge people not to go to the Inauguration, despite its being an important historical event. Watch it from your home or somewhere else. If there is a problem, it will not be a safe place to be for anyone, even innocent bystanders.

There will be nothing like a weak response that day. Not on your life.

I understand your concerns, after what happened on Wed, we should all be wary, but I think we can relax just a little and enjoy the Inauguration of President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
