trump, his cabinet and family deflate the situation by coming clean and stating clearly that this was a legit election, that there was no fraud, that it was all a lie - the cult will not stand down. In fact, sticking to the theft script - I guess we can call them election truthers - will only inflame the cult and carry the danger well into the future. They will not stop - they CANNOT stop. They are a cult. If they stand down, they would have to admit to themselves they've been made fools of - they've been had.

The danger in this situation only increases daily.

Short of that, the FBI should not rest until they've identified, arrested, and charged as many of the terrorists as possible. At the very least, those fuckheads should be rendered permanently unemployable, and they should be denied access to all public services and facilities.

That wouldn't take care of the whole cult, of course, but it would be a hell of a blow to the terrorists.

One thing that would help, truly, is if law enforcement actually started treating rightwing extremists like the terrorist cult that they are, rather than as a series of unconnected lone wolves acting alone. I mean, treat them at least as severely as they currently handle a black man holding an Xbox controller.

I'd like to see them crack down on rightwing propaganda on the various formal media platforms, especially those outlets that echo Russian talking points.

I shouldn't be so flippant, because I know that this is a serious issue, but I also know that the terrorist cult (even those fuckheads who lurk here from their KKKonservative cesspit forums) survives by exploiting the same freedoms that they would deny others.
