If Lisa Murkowski and 2 other Republicans switch to Independent, and caucus with Dems,

then Schumer would be in charge right now -- and he could hold a Senate trial on the impeachment articles on HIS timetable -- not Mitch McConnell's.

Till Georgia certifies its election, which might not happen till Jan. 22, Mitch McConnell will remain Majority Leader of a 50-48 Senate. HOWEVER, if 3 Republicans turn Independent, and agree to caucus with the Democrats, then Chuck Schumer would be presiding over a 51-49 Senate and he could call for an immediate trial over any impeachment articles the House passes.

Which Republican Senators might be willing to help bring this about? Lisa Murkowski has already indicated she might not remain in the party. Anyone else? Can we find 2 others who have spoken out about Trump and might want to help save the country?

ON EDIT: They wouldn't even have to make a permanent switch -- just long enough to get the Georgia election certified.

Some disgruntled R's are mentioned here:

But I agree he is going through the car wash, wanting to rid himself of the Trump stink.
He probably will vote for I. He is positioning himself as the old style R.
