... Mitch McConnell-Trump is always going to be remembered as a full Trump team player. He and his wife are Gold Medal supporters! This late term "distancing" is meaningless.

Now? It will have about as much impact as a used paper clip falling to the floor from the desk of McTurtle's assistant secretary.

He is mad because Trump cost him the senate, the presidency, his caucus, his power.
He is not much better than Trump.

The party that has allowed them to be wealthy and powerful.
And encouraged their greed and corruption, encouraged sociopaths to rule the country.

Yes, the GOP food fight is enormously entertaining.

The intention - at best - was to deprive the legislature, and thus McConnell, of power. At worst, McConnell could have been strung up by the rioters for being insufficiently loyal to Trump.

McConnell had to flee for his life from the Senate chamber he has ruled. I don't expect him to forget that experience. No, I don't expect him to forget it.

He could have propped up the two GA Senators as leaders in the fight for the stimulus. Instead he was snarky about it. I don't know if it would have helped...but it definitely denied them from being able to take a victory lap around GA.
