I believe the Capitol siege stopped Purdue and Loeffler from contesting their elections

They were probably ready to go full Trump campaign with dozens of lawsuits and challenges....but the backlash of what happened probably took the wind out of their sails

Their various lawsuits would have gone nowhere, just like Trump's.

.. just to keep the Republican majority on the floor as long as possible.

Thankfully the final vote totals left no doubt of the winners. I am still in awe of how many more votes the Dems received on Tuesday compared to Biden's win. Such a relief we didn't have to go through stress of weeks of uncertainty.
