Reminds me, the other day I was out for a walk and a pedestrian on the other side of the street was walking a dog, totally engrossed in her cell phone, and walked smack into a pole -- exactly like a cartoon -- leaning forward, eyes down, forehead first into the pole, stumble back, look around wildly to see who hit her, belatedly realize it was the pole, then keep walking the same exact way as if she hadn't learned anything: leaning forward, eyes down...

the hyperactive girl. We were at the mall one night where she switched on her "Judy Miller" and literally did the banging into the door bit (starting around the 3:30 minute mark) except it was against a street light post in full view of all the other shoppers. I never laughed so hard in my life. It was 37 years ago, but your post reminded of it. I'm laughing now watching Gilda and remembering my cousin. Thank you! I needed that.
