Even in a Blue State, you have enemies of Democracy who are willing to spit on their oaths to uphold the Constitution and support Trump and the insurrectionists.

Ken Calvert (CA)
Darrell Issa (CA)
Doug LaMalfa (CA)
Kevin McCarthy (CA)

It was formerly represented by Duncan Hunter Jr. before his conviction (and pardon by Trump).

Still the same asshole he was when representing another district.

4. Because enough people in their districts vote R, that's why. What's more, national R donors...

...pour millions into certain races in California.

So there you have it. If you want to unseat them, send money to their Dem opponents and GOTV. And cross your fingers.

That’s all I got.

6. As a Californian, I send donations and support to their opponents. I've seen a lot of good Democrats

win, but sometimes it takes several tries. I'm still elated about Jerry McNerney defeating the odious Richard Pombo, but some of those other California republican candidates either won't go away, or they rise again like Dracula and find voters who'll vote for them. I hate to think of the great, qualified Democratic candidates who just haven't been able to make it. I'll just have to wait 'till 2022, I guess.

7. Didn't know you were also a Californian. Issa & Nunes need a stake driven thru their political heart

Jeez how they keep coming back.

Sorry I talked at you like you lived someplace else and imagined California was blue from border to border.

My now-former district was among the first to experience an influx of outside GOP money, back when a million bucks was an amazing boatload of cash. Ugh.

...everything from denying the risks of the pandemic and to defending Russia's efforts to interfere in the U.S. election. Voting to ignore and throw out the election results should be the last straw.

9. My only hope is that this just gives prosecutors more evidence to work with.

This is surreal. But it is painfully evident we need to clean house (literally). Being MoC should not curry leniency. They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And we need to do this swiftly and severely. Otherwise, it can be a death spiral in the future if we don't stop it now.
