So there you have it. If you want to unseat them, send money to their Dem opponents and GOTV. And cross your fingers.

(19,440 posts)win, but sometimes it takes several tries. I'm still elated about Jerry McNerney defeating the odious Richard Pombo, but some of those other California republican candidates either won't go away, or they rise again like Dracula and find voters who'll vote for them. I hate to think of the great, qualified Democratic candidates who just haven't been able to make it. I'll just have to wait 'till 2022, I guess.

Sorry I talked at you like you lived someplace else and imagined California was blue from border to border.
My now-former district was among the first to experience an influx of outside GOP money, back when a million bucks was an amazing boatload of cash. Ugh.

(17,837 posts)...everything from denying the risks of the pandemic and to defending Russia's efforts to interfere in the U.S. election. Voting to ignore and throw out the election results should be the last straw.

(3,748 posts)This is surreal. But it is painfully evident we need to clean house (literally). Being MoC should not curry leniency. They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And we need to do this swiftly and severely. Otherwise, it can be a death spiral in the future if we don't stop it now.
