Pence had his own problems he was a disaster as governor of Indiana and I recall at the time he was chosen we thought Trump was toxic already and not expected to win obviously and not too many Republicans would have jumped at the chance to go down with his ship in a few months time, but Pence was already facing a very questionable reelection campaign .
