There were people who actually thought Trump was walking with them.

A side issue, but so telling. Of all the images and noise from Wednesday, I can’t get it out of my head that Trump told the crowd he was going to join them on their walk up to the Capitol and then he just left.

I have seen accounts from people who were there that believe they walked to the capitol WITH him. They are so disillusioned... they just think the press refuses to report it.
