"McConnell told others he was enraged with Trump and planned to never speak to him again"

“Although the Vice President and I were not together during the evacuation, he personally got very involved and stayed in close contact with me as we worked to secure urgently needed resources to thwart the mob and I appreciate those efforts greatly,” McConnell said in a statement to The Washington Post. McConnell told others he was enraged with Trump and planned to never speak to him again.

No sympathy. They all are getting what they deserve and they deserve much worse.

My fear is that the turtle is not angry about the plan per se, but rather because it failed, and put Republicans in a worse position than they were before.

This is all theater to try and pull themselves out from beneath the rubble Trump rained down on their heads. I don't buy one moment of these orchestrated dramas.

Where were they these past 4 years, let alone this past year? Most especially, where were they this past election cycle and all that's been said since it began? Nope, they don't get to suddenly get to pretend they've not been propping him up for their own gain. They freaking fundraised off him. He was their man 100%.

While McConnell was busy cramming through judges, Trump, their party leader, was conspiring to circumvent our very democracy in plain site on social media and via official POTUS press moments. He orchestrated every moment which took place. In freaking pubic for the love of Pete! All while ignoring the COVID-19 pandemic killing record amounts of American citizens (bad optics for Trump) and saying we should us internal UV lights and IV bleach along with hydroxychloroquine as a cure. "When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done." They let that shit pass as a National response to a pandemic. Really, they think we're that stupid we forgot all about all of the past 4 years?!

No, they're not slithering out of the final act. They own the insurrectionist at the capital, the 5 dead in the attack and the international shame it brought us. Just like they must own their blind loyalty to Trump for the past 4 years. They own it all.

If there is one figure that can orchestrate the removal of tRump for committing sedition it is Mitch McConnell. Either by fast tracking impeachment and or by putting his political weight behind invoking the 25th Amendment.

McConnell is doing what he has always done and that is anything but representing the people of this country and acting in their best interests.
This is just another example that Mitch McConnell has zero interest in doing the right thing or doing the business of this country. He is the paid shill of the oligarchy like Mercer, Koch, etc. He is their personal employee.

McConnell is every bit as guilty as Trump/Pence/MAGA.

He's hoping to shape the narrative otherwise, because he knows the GOP has taken a blow. MM doesn't care about Trump or MAGA - he only cared about pushing his own agenda forward and getting Trump's signature. To that end, he enabled Trump. He protected Trump.

And he is just as guilty as Trump.

He exposes he's lying. He's well aware what trumps attempting to do, and he knows it'll save him from becoming exposed if he remains in control, and Cruz and others know this too. Hopefully the law will come after some of these republicans in Congress involved with this, and corruption , and taking bribes from putin, and round them up. McConnell's protecting trump, again, not us.
