Basically, a skeletal presentation by the B-team.
Hard not to think the basic problem is Trumpworld disarray and its spillover effects into everything, especially an incident with the President himself at the center of it.
Looking forward to the adults taking over next week.

(16,616 posts)Except for that dodge of the question about the video of the suspect n the murder of the Capitol Hill police.
Other than for that, they seemed to have a good grasp of what is floating around out there on the internet.
They quelled those annoying questions about why the charges aren't more serious so early in the investigation.
I'm watching Peter Strzok's twitter to see what he thought of it.

(4,251 posts)Plus the question of where was Christopher Wray? Why are junior officials speaking and not senior. The presser was only 30 min w/few questions - Why? CNN expected at least one hour.

For a 1st briefing, 6 days after the largest terror attack on US soil since 9/11, to last 30 minutes is FUCKING PITIFUL.

The fact that they came to their positions under Trump's rule--absent information indicating their malfeasance---should not lead to automatic rejection of their representations. Numerous Trump-appointed judges flushed Trump's "election fraud" lawsuits.
