The panic buttons in the Congresswoman's office were all "torn out--the whole unit."

According to Ayanna Pressley’s chief of staff Sarah Groh, the panic buttons in the Congresswoman’s office were all “torn out—the whole unit.”

They don’t know why or who did it.

With practically every news story, it worsens.

But I surmise that that one Russian woman they brought in, the one who spoke no English, was not there to install telephone cables for Verizon.

I think that is the point of terrorism. On the one hand citizens of democracies have to be aware of the nutbaggery being stoked in their own countries.

But on the other hand, fear-mongering (by the pro-Trump coup supporters) doesn't work once the reality is recognized. At the end of the day, the whole thing failed-as will all future attempts in democracies.

This just all ended up looking super lame. It went the way of ISIS - only a lot faster.
Not that it isn't all scary. However, if one can also remember that it is also super lame, it is better for one's own mental health. Mental tightrope..super scary but also super lame. That is a Boston Globe article so I would assume this is true. I have never cared for conspiracy theories, but I have now seen in rt how dangerous they are.
And I expect a lot of projection to come from the right-that liberals will want them to be surveilled merely for being conservative, ask for draconian punishments eschewing due process and transparency. I wish it was possible to reassure conservatives that it is mostly people on their side who like fascism. Liberals are unlikely to despise the rights of conservatives or cynically disregard accuracy. It isn't about "winning" and "losing"...
