"Impeaching me would be dangerous." An idle threat? The taste of things to come?

"The impeachment hoax is a continuation of the greatest and most vicious witch hunt in the history of our country, and is causing tremendous anger and division and pain, far greater than most people will ever understand, which is very dangerous for the U.S.A., especially at this very tender time." 1.12.21

I don't know how any of his followers, even the most rabid, will be ale to breach the halls of state or national government this Sunday or next Wednesday, but I can envision Trump, even if barred from holding further federal office in the future, continually making threats like this for years with full knowledge some of them will encourage violent actions. The threats won't be specific enough to prove Trump encouraged any single event, but everyone will know what he's doing.

What is going to stop this? I have no idea.

These are the desperate rantings of a demagogue who recognizes his grasp on power is slipping away.

It is the most dangerous time, but it will come to an end.

Historian (and expert on classical Fascism) Ruth Ben-Ghiat nails this phase of the process in her book Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present. She takes the reader through every phase of the tyrant's reign, from ascendency to fall.

I know this will sound crazy, but I'm a little bit relieved to see him acting like this, looking like shit and saying things like this, because it demonstrates that he' knows the end has come. (And that is assuming it's true that he's now out of the chain of command).

To continue his ANTI-AMERICAN behavior. Gym Jordan, Louie Gohmert, Matt Gaetz, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Kevin McCarthy, even Mitch McConnell. They learned NOTHING over the past year as Trump continued to violate the US Constitution on a daily basis.

we're in for about 6-12 months of insurgent type behavior, (isolated bombings, attempted assassinations, etc.,) after Trump has been removed. The Feds will continue to pursue and bring the traitors to justice. As far as any possibility of organized, military movements by MAGA rebels, not a chance.

Most of the "mob" Trump is counting on will return to their homes and churches and most likely become apolitical for a period of time.

Just my 2¢.
