Not a good idea imho.
I know that route, I can not imagine how you would secure it.
I hope he changes his mind.

(5,969 posts)But I agree. Just meet at the White House with families, a few guests and John Roberts. Nothing else is needed, no Ivanka, no Repubs.

Facts such as it is 100 miles of tracks and remote control technology and that some of these traitors are bomb builders should preclude this idea from happening. He may do it and it may turn out ok; just think it is a bad idea - at this time - to do.

The haters will think twice about eliminating Biden since it will elevate Harris.

(58,785 posts)Seriously, I've viewed the old one (really nice!), but just assumed there's a more current armored car. May be, but googling didn't pull it up.

(12,533 posts)I was afraid Biden would insist on this. In the same way he's insisted on appearing on the steps of the Capitol and walking the grounds at Arlington with former Presidents Obama, Clinton and Bush.
I'm going to have heart failure by the time this is over!
Really torn by the decision. Pray to God we're ready. For anything.

(30,613 posts)He should travel at some other time. I don't think there is any requirement to hold the inauguration in any particular place, and he certainly should travel in secret.
