I can't help but think this attack on the Capitol is really in response to the much televised

celebration when the Biden/Harris ticket was declared the winner on that beautiful fall Saturday in November. The joy that sang and danced in the streets I think enraged the deplorables so much so that desperate factions plotted a coup with the likes of Michael Flynn proposing that dRump declare Martial law. No one took them seriously at the time. We all believed dRump election challenges would run the normal course (as they did) and fizzle out. What we didn’t know was that dRump (buoyed by the likes of Flynn, Giuliani, Mo Brooks, Et al) had no intention of going quietly. Nor could we have imagined that the under belly of American’s worst segments would have shown themselves in broad daylight to be not just the hidden beasts that they are but the very bedrock of the GOP. Can you imagine had Hillary fought the results of 2016 in the manner the GOP has fought the results of this election? I can help wondering when is Michael Flynn now?

1. Many of us saw this coming.

Bill Maher in particular has been saying it for years. I’ve always said his last act will be to call for his cult to take up arms and attempt a coup. Sure, the unbridled joy of that Saturday, one of the best days I’ve ever had, really pissed them off but I think it was always going to end this way. And I’m not so sure we’re anywhere near the end of it.
