Looks like a huge gerry--mandered district. Stretches from bottom to almost the top of the state.
Incumbent was primaried last year and it has a new (farther right?) Congressman.
The dem still only lost it 52-47.
That's my quick take on the district.
Within last 20 mins, MSNBC said:
1. looks like involvement from inside the capitol.
then shortly after,
2. And I definitely heard them say Virginia 5th staff.

(14,708 posts)Still, if they were following instructions of the congress critter, the critter would still be chargeable.
But they would have to disclose that to investigators.....

For 17 years, Good worked for Citi Financial.[6] When Good announced his campaign for Congress in 2019, he was serving as athletic director at Liberty University.[7]
Good was a member of the Campbell County board of supervisors from 2016 to 2019.[8] During his three years as a county supervisor, Good supported socially conservative causes, voting to condemn the U.S. Supreme Court decision recognizing a constitutional right to same-sex marriage; to declare the county a "Second Amendment sanctuary"; and to call upon the Virginia General Assembly to restrict transgender bathroom use.[6]

(15,278 posts)night talking about "reconnaisense" in the military sense. She said she'd been trained during her Navy career to always be on alert for things that just didn't look right and she'd noticed on Jan 5th a number of groups being given tours of the Capitol. She said she specifically asked the Sergeant-at-Arms how these tours would happen and was told that they could happen if escorted either by a MoC or their staff.
She also said she found this unusual because the Capitol has been closed for tours since March 2020.
